HEALTHY, SCHOOL NUTRITION ENVIRONMENT
It is well established that nutrition has an impact on children’s growth and development. Ample evidence demonstrates that the connection between nutrition
and the brain may affect memory retention, reading ability, problem-solving tasks and behavior. Hungry children are likely to have low energy, be late or absent,
be more apathetic, disinterested, irritable or hyperactive, and have trouble concentrating. Our challenge is to support, educate, and empower children to make the
healthy choice the easy choice.
